Nagomi is a 12 seat Omakase only restaurant in the heart of the Bywater. Nagomi, which means “chill or relax”, is driven by the talents of chef kazuyuki ishikawa, or “Kaz” for short. Chef Kaz, Tokyo Native, was first recruited out of Boss Sushi in Beverly Hills by the owner of Shogun Metairie. Blatty was a customer if his at Shogun prior to his contract expiring, the two subsequently became friends, and Billy hosted his sushi pop-ups for a period of 2 years in Ohm Lounge to help refine the proof in concept of what is now, Nagomi. During that time Billy acted as a consultant to Kaz advising him on tentative deals and searching for locations. After an exhaustive and empty handed search, Billy offered to build Kaz a space of his own in his Bywater location and the two decided to formally go into businesses with one another. Kaz is accompanied by his long time friend and partner, Eli Ramos, into the business.
